Come out into the merry month of May.

When the woods are alive with bluebells, the hawthorn begins to blossom and the evenings open into light, we will gather to celebrate the return of summer after the long winter months.

From the creators of Into the Wild comes Wild Beltane Fayre: a gathering of wild crafts, folk music, storytelling, foraging, feasting and fire. A place to get our hands dirty, learn something new, dance together and remember the simple pleasure of being alive. Not a festival but something new and fresh!

For a few days, we will weave a wild village together.

We are dreaming of a gathering where everyone can become part of what is happening. A place where you can spend a morning learning to carve, help make something beautiful for the evening’s celebrations, share a meal with new friends and find yourself singing beside a fire as the stars come out.

Our handcrafted giant yurts, a music stage and a great café and feasting hall will form the heart of the village, with space for conversation, making things and enjoying the unfolding days.

Come with your wildest dreaming, your skill, your curiosity.

Bring your children, your friends, your songs and your friendship.

Wild crafts and willing hands.

Weaving and spinning. Basket making and green woodworking. Clay, natural dyes, fire making, herbs and wild plants.

We are gathering craftspeople and foragers who can share the skills they have spent years learning, with time for you to settle into the work and discover the pleasure of making something yourself.

Some of what we create will become part of the village: decorations, useful objects and offerings for our shared celebrations. Ancient skills finding new life in our hands.

Music, stories and wild dancing

Folk musicians, traditional singers and master storytellers will bring their songs and stories to the gathering. We want music to travel beyond the stage, into the feasting hall and around the fires. Songs to learn together, tunes that set our feet moving, stories that draw us close as daylight fades.

As unplugged and off-grid as we can make it, with room to hear the birds between the songs.

A place at the table

At the centre of our vision is a great feasting hall, with long tables, good food and time to enjoy it. We want shared meals to be part of the life of the village. Somewhere to arrive hungry from a morning of making, sit beside someone you have just met and leave with a new friend. Food, conversation, laughter and perhaps a tale or two.

Welcoming the summer

Beltane marks the turning towards summer, a season of blossom, growth and possibility. Together we will explore how to celebrate that turning in ways that feel alive and meaningful now.

Making beautiful things from natural materials, lighting fires, telling stories, singing and dancing, remembering our relationship with the land and all that lives here. A celebration shaped by the people who gather, with room for wonder, quiet moments and plenty of merriment.

A few days to be here

We use technology to find each other and bring this gathering into being. Once we arrive, we invite you to put the screens away for a while and give your attention to the world around you.

Learn the name of a plant. Work a piece of wood. Listen to a story from beginning to end. Share a meal. Learn a song and sing it with others.

There is so much to come back to.

Bring us the seeds of your offerings

This is not a normal festival, this is a new and ancient way to come together. Deep amongst the mystery of community, we will remember a place to truly call home. A place of renewal and connection, of embrace and warmth.

We are now gathering the people and ideas that will bring Wild Beltane Fayre to life. If you are a musician, storyteller, craftsperson, forager, maker or someone with a skill to share, we would love to hear from you. If someone inspires you and you think they belong here, tell us about them.

We hope to make this a welcoming, affordable gathering, full of friendship, creativity and the wild beauty of May.
