Into the Wild Summer Festival

What is Into the Wild Summer Festival?

Into the Wild Festival is different than most festivals. First of all we are NOT primarily a music festival, but a celebration of nature and the beauty of the wild.

We don't have alcohol at our events and have a zero tolerance for illegal drugs.

Our audience is from a wide range of society and all ages, with lots of families and children

who come along to enjoy the many different workshops, craft activities, theatre,

bush crafts, song, dance, yoga, talks, film, falconry, archery,

a large kids area and much more.

We do host some wonderful world music acts, but do not have loud electronic music.

Getting involved

Our aim is for Into the Wild to be a positive and inspiring event in the local area, working where possible with local businesses, local groups, charities and organisations.

We specifically invite local people and organisations to get involved.

Noise

The event may create a minimal amount of noise in the local area. The amount of noise we are allowed to create is governed by the limits that are agreed within licences.

Up until 23:00 noise from Into the Wild should not exceed 50dB.

After 23:00 noise should not exceed 45 dB. This level should ensure music is inaudible inside residential properties. However, you may hear low level noise from the event throughout the night depending on climatic conditions and your proximity to the event site.

Our music stops at midnight. Sunday evening is particularly low and we aim to keep our acts quieter as we reach midnight. We are primarily a family festival so have many young children, so we aim to be well aware of the noise and after midnight, you will hope fully hear nothing at all.

We have a great team of experienced sound managers, who will be managing the noise levels during the event to ensure compliance with those limits. If you feel that those limits have been exceeded at any time you can contact them directly

We will respond to complaints by taking measurements at your location to ensure that we are within the above prescribed limits, but most of all to ensure that the event does not create any nuisance or upset. Our aim is to be a positive event in the local calendar.
